Tingkai is a 4th-year M.S./Ph.D. student in the Bionet Lab in the Electrical Engineering department, where he develops novel modelling frameworks for sensing and processing in neural systems. Over the past two years, in addition to serving as Department Representative for EE, he founded and chaired Graduated Electrical Engineering at Columbia (GEEC), the graduate student governing body of EE.
Michael was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, PA and earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University. In the past three years, he has served as the EGSC Department Representative for BME (Fall 2016) as well as EGSC Vice President (2017), in addition to serving on many other councils and committees at Columbia University. In his spare time, he enjoys officiating basketball for Columbia's Intramural Program and tutoring high school students in mathematics.
Manik is an M.S. student in the Computer Science department. He earned his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU). Before being appointed as Communications Chair, he served as a Department Representative. In his leisure time, he enjoys photography, exploring new places and socializing.
Ludwig is a third year PhD student in Electrical Engineering (ELEN). He works in the Bioelectronic Systems Lab led by Professor Ken Shepard. Ludwig was an ELEN PhD Department Representative and is currently the Career and Alumni Chair.
Outside of campus, you can find him on the beaches, on the hiking trails or just simply in the parks.
Aimee is an M.S. student in Applied Mathematics. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University in Mathematics and Psychology. Prior to her position as Treasurer, she served as a Department Representative for APAM. In her free time, Aimee enjoys baking, playing Monopoly (as the banker, of course), and is attempting to read 52 books in 2020.
